Frangipani (Plumeria) is one of the flowers found everywhere in Bali. Balinese women often don these in their hair buns. Simple and elegant, these flowers have varied cultural values. For example, In Polynesian culture, it can be worn by women to indicate their relationship status – over the right ear if seeking a relationship, and over the left if taken.
